Accommodation

All bookings for accommodation have been handled by the Newcastle Gateshead Initiative Convention Bureau. This is quite separate from the conference registration process and all payments should be made separately.

As advertised here, accommodation had to be reserved by 7th August (extended to 14th August) to be sure of getting one of the rooms set aside for the Conference. On this date the Convention Bureau released back to hotels and residences any unbooked rooms set aside for the conference. Henceforward, rooms must be booked directly with the hotels (see the Newcastle Gateshead Initiative Convention Bureau pages). Note: there is a big demand for rooms in Newcastle/Gateshead in the summer; if you are still without accommodation, make a booking today.
